Boats and Captains needed! Military Appreciation Day in Southport, September 10, 2022

MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY 2022 - SOUTHPORT
September 10, 2022

Update: Although rainy weather was a potential problem, the day worked out. Approximately 120 of our active duty military heroes were treated to a day of fishing, lunch/dinner and prizes. Our Post’s commander, Mike Trent, took two service members on his boat, and he was assisted by member and first mate-for-the-day, Sal Simonetti. Photos from the day are below.

More boats = more troops they can serve!

Boats will depart and return from Safe Harbor South Harbour Village Marina at the end of Fish Factory Road.  Friday’s captains’ dinner and Saturday’s dinner following a day of fishing will take place at Dutchman Creek Park on Fish Factory Road.
