Show your support for our country’s veterans by lighting a green light (somewhere on your property) during the week of November 7-13, 2022.
From NACo:
America’s counties have a long and proud history of serving our nation’s veterans, a legacy that continues to this day as we work with our federal, state and local partners to ensure that the former service members in our communities have access to the resources they need to thrive.
In advance of Veterans Day, counties across the country are demonstrating appreciation and support for America’s veterans in a new way. County government buildings will be illuminated in green November 7-13 as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans.
The initiative – spearheaded by NACo and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers (NACVSO) – is designed to raise awareness about the unique challenges veterans face and the resources available to assist them and their families at the county, state, and federal levels.
From Brunswick County, NC:
The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners is encouraging residents and businesses to participate in Operation Green Light, a new national initiative to support military veterans and raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans and their families. Read more here.
